The Facility:

Haven Valley Farm is a private facility that caters to riders wishing to excel in the disciplines of Dressage or Eventing. The farm boasts more than 50 acres in the Metamora Hunt Country area. Old growth Michigan forests grow around the perimeter of the property, creating a feeling of seclusion and privacy. Aesthetically the property is a classic beauty, including a barn built at the turn of the twentieth century, a large pond, gardens, and an array of wildlife and flora.

The Barns:

Nestled in the heart of the property is the main house, the guest house, the main barn and the small barn. There are 12 large matted stalls in the main barn, including a single large foaling stall. The small barn contains four additional stalls, used as run-ins for the outdoor horses.

The Turnout:

There are six large grass pastures, four of which use wood fencing, and an additional 3 smaller paddocks in the immediate barn area. Each pasture and paddock has access to its own water source, which is dumped and cleaned daily. The grass pastures are mowed regularly, to minimize bugs and weeds and the manure is picked up daily in all the dirt paddocks and main standing areas of the horses.

The Arenas:

There are three arenas available to meet the needs of all our riders. In the front of the property is a large indoor arena, which includes sky lights that give the arena ample natural lighting, electric lighting, mirrors, dressage letters, and a stereo system. Nearby is an extra large outdoor sand arena, used for jumping and dressage. Adjacent to the outdoor arena is a large grass arena that contains cross country and stadium jumps. All of the show jumping and cross country fences are hand crafted by William Hutchins, custom builder. Each of the arenas are upheld to the highest of standards, including regular maintenance, chloride, mowing, and grading.

In addition to the large grass arena, there are stretches of land available for the use of conditioning. Also, there are additional cross country fences, including log jumps and banks around the property. New fences are built each year.
